*This position will assist business bankers in the Northern Region of Horicon Banks footprint including Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Ripon and Green Lake.*Role Summary:The Business Banking Specialist is responsible for assisting business bankers with a variety of tasks to maximize business customer experience and strengthen relationships. Provides administrative support and customer service in relation to business banking within a designated market.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Enthusiastically support the Bank sales function by providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.Provide support to internal and external business customers. Respond to customer inquiries and requests as directed by business bankers.Assist in maintaining and updating customer records. Ensure financial documentation on file is up to date.Assist in gathering information for product and service set up. Order appraisals, title insurance, and verify real estate insurance. Process loan draw requests, assist with loan note renewals. May assist with loan closings.Open and maintain deposit accounts, business accounts, and other banking services; efficiently process financial transactions. Follow depository compliance and regulation requirements.Work closely with Treasury Management, Trust Services, Merchant Services and Wealth Management to service business needs through the effective sales and referrals of products and services.Monitor business customer overdrafts.Demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of products and services as well as those offered by competitors. Participate in joint meetings with customers at their place of business as required.Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned. Perform other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.Update knowledge and develop professionally on a continuing basis. Responsible for reporting suspicious activity to the AML/CFT team.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High school diploma or equivalent and additional coursework in business or general business acumen required. Previous new account opening and/or sales related experience preferred.Strong knowledge of bank products and services, including the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Detailed understanding of core systems, Office Suite, and other computer software programs.Ability to plan and prioritize work, handle multiple tasks concurrently; exercise good judgment in all areas of responsibility; and work effectively under pressure and deadlines.Role requires interpersonal skills, collaboration and teamwork amongst departments, accuracy and safeguarding of confidential information.Exceptional customer service skills with ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with customers, employees, and prospects.Working Conditions:Work is performed in a pleasant office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Frequent mental concentration is necessary for listening and responding to various situations. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds unassisted. Some twisting, bending, and turning is required. Work hours are generally during normal business hours and average 40 hours a week.
