Document Process Specialist II

Horace Mann is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Document Process Specialist II to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely handling of mail, business documents, and electronic document workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both IT and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform document processing functions including opening, sorting, batching, scanning, indexing, and delivering incoming mail and business documents across all business lines within regulated timeframes.
• Manage electronic document workflows, ensuring quality control standards are met.
• Research and analyze documents that cannot be identified through automated document recognition.
• Support Corporate Scanning Operation (CSO) processes by applying technical expertise and quality methodologies.
• Utilize and troubleshoot Kofax Capture/Kofax KTM software and DMS repository systems.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), track and report defects, and provide actionable insights to support management decisions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to ensure exemplary service on DMS-related projects, requests, and research.
• Act as a liaison between IT and business partners to implement changes in document processing systems.
• May be required to work irregular hours in a normal office environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent required.  College degree preferred. 
• Certification in quality control methodology and/or demonstrated expertise in Corporate Scanning Operation (CSO) processes.
• Proficiency with Kofax Capture/Kofax KTM and document management repository systems, with troubleshooting ability.
• Experience in electronic document management, scanning operations, and workflow processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve complex document issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with IT, business partners, and management.
• Strong commitment to service excellence and operational efficiency.

Pay Range:

• $19.66 - $29.04/hr.

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
