What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Coordinator, Education & Community Engagement position at Horace Bushnell Memorial Hall?
Broad Functions:
Provide a variety of support for onsite and offsite education department programming.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist the department with ongoing school-based services projects.
- Assist with creating letters of agreement for artists and other contract work.
- Coordinate and assist department staff with talent development initiatives.
- Organize, coordinate, and implement community programming onsite and offsite, as needed.
- Schedule activities, travel arrangements, meeting room requests, preparing packets, and other hospitality requirements, as needed.
- Organize and manage, with the Marketing department, materials needed for Daytime Performances, Bushnell Children’s Theater, and other educational programs.
- Assist with social media content [X, Instagram, TikTok and others] for educational programming with the Marketing staff.
- Assist with implementing programming for spring break and summer break.
- Provide programming advice for Sensory Friendly programming for Warner Theatre.
- Consistently and continuously identify and implement AI tools and emerging technologies that streamline workflows, enhance individual productivity, improve data analysis, and increase the overall efficiency and impact of organizational operations.
Requirements:
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule; some evenings and weekends will be required.
- Strong knowledge of Power Point, Excel, and Publisher or graphic design is a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
- College degree is desired and knowledge of how a mission based non-profit organization functions.
- Project Management experience is desired with the capacity to handle multiple areas simultaneously.
- Experience in performing arts, entertainment, education, community-based programming and production is a plus.
Skills Desired:
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus; bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and to work under deadlines.
- Collaborative personality and is a team player.
- An outgoing individual who conveys a positive, polished professional image to the public.
- A high-energy self-starter.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
