Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage guest flow efficiently. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with strong customer service skills. The Host/Hostess will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our guests and supporting the overall operation of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
• Manage reservations and waitlists using the POS system
• Provide accurate wait times and answer guest inquiries courteously
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations
• Handle guest concerns or special requests professionally and promptly
• Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering inquiries
• Handle all To-Go orders, delivery services and phone in orders
• Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed to enhance guest experience

Requirements

• Prior host/host experience or background in food service preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of restaurant POS systems preferred
• Experience in hospitality, or guest services
• Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism
• Friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.07 per hour
