Hopkinton Center for the Arts is seeking a reliable, hands-on Part-Time Facilities Coordinator to support the upkeep and operations of our buildings and grounds.
Position Overview
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for light maintenance, vendor coordination, and general building support to ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming.
Schedule & Hours
- 4–10 hours per week (core responsibilities)
- Flexible schedule that can be adjusted to fit the selected candidate
- Optional additional 8–10 hours per week available for building cleaning (if desired)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform light repairs and general maintenance of buildings and grounds
- Coordinate with local vendors for specialized work (e.g., electrical, plumbing)
- Track and manage annual inspections and compliance schedules
- Conduct seasonal light landscaping
- Assist with opening and closing buildings as needed
- Set up and break down tables and chairs for events and meetings
Optional Responsibilities (Additional Hours)
- Perform twice-weekly cleaning of buildings (otherwise outsourced)
Qualifications
- General handyman or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to lift, move, and set up furniture and equipment
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
- Comfortable coordinating with external vendors
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
