What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development & Community Partnerships position at Hopkinsville Family YMCA?
Are you a relationship builder who enjoys connecting with people, developing opportunities, and making a difference? The Hopkinsville YMCA is seeking a motivated professional to help grow our membership, expand donor support, and build meaningful corporate and community partnerships.
Reporting to the President/CEO, this new director will help generate revenue that supports our mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit new members through community outreach, business visits, presentations, and consistent follow-up.
- Develop and expand our Corporate Partner Program with local businesses and industries.
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with donors and sponsors.
- Support the Annual Campaign and secure sponsorships for YMCA programs, events, and projects.
- Work with the Membership Director and program staff to connect prospective partners with YMCA opportunities.
- Establish and track measurable goals for membership growth, fundraising, and partnerships.

- Has experience in fundraising, sales, business development, membership recruitment, or community relations.
- Communicates effectively and is comfortable making presentations and asking for support.
- Is organized, takes initiative, and follows through on commitments.
- Can work independently while collaborating with staff, volunteers, and board members.
- Has a passion for the YMCA’s mission and serving our community.
