JOB SUMMARY:
The Apprentice Teacher assists the Teacher to coordinate and implement daily preschool academy activities for the students in his/her classroom.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in maintaining safe and clean classroom environment;
- Assists in the supervision of children in the classroom;
- Participates in all classroom and school related activities;
- Keeps the Lead Teacher informed regarding classroom activities and events;
- Able to work a flexible schedule; and
- Provides such other related duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or equivalent.
YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with young children, e.g., summer camp.
OTHER RELATED REQUIREMENTS:
- Within 120 days of hire must enroll in the Hopkins House Early Childhood Learning Institute (ECLI) to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA).
