Role Description
This is a position for a Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) based in the Greater McMinn and Athens area. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Day-to-day tasks include one-on-one therapy sessions with clients, collecting and analyzing data on client progress, and collaborating closely with team members, families, and caregivers. The RBT will also play a key role in coaching caregivers to foster positive behavioral outcomes and improve daily living skills for children with autism or developmental challenges.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and individualized behavior intervention strategies
- Skilled in data collection, reporting, and analyzing progress metrics
- Effective communication and collaboration with caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Dedicated to trauma-informed care and promoting respect, dignity, and empathy
- Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Experience working with children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to adapt to different environments, including homes, schools, and community settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site sessions and community work
