What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at Hopewell Beverage Inc?
The Production Operator reports directly to the Recess Head of Manufacturing and Quality and will play a key leadership role in support of the production of Drink Recess products to ensure products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards.
The scope of responsibility includes handling of materials, batching ingredients, assembly of finished product, equipment calibration and overall support for manufacturing.
This role is based out of our Hopewell manufacturing facility in Hopewell Junction, NY and reports directly to the Head of Manufacturing and Quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving, handling and storage of Raw and Packaging Materials while following the approved process defined by Recess Quality Systems
- Handle and Weighing/Measuring of Raw materials to be used during the production that while following the approved process defined by Recess Quality Systems
- Handle and Assemble final packaging materials while following the approved process defined by Recess Quality Systems.
- Batching and Processing of Recess Concentrate while following approved processes defined by Recess Quality Systems.
- Organizing and Handling of Shipments of Recess Concentrate to outside storage locations.
- Perform inspections, tests, and measurements at various stages of the production process, from raw materials to finished goods.
- Sanitation Duties in GMP area defined by Recess Quality Systems, which will include Clean-In-Place of batching equipment, following the Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Sanitation Schedule.
- Maintaining all Records and Logs to support Recess Quality Systems to maintain product consistency, operational compliance, identify defects, and ensure compliance with industry (GMP, FDA, etc) and company standards.
- Being a member of the Recess Quality Team to support execution of good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and drive continuous improvements in keeping with GMP standards.
- Being part of the Recess Quality Team will require execution of Monthly Internal Audits to identify Continues Improvement opportunities and to discuss these findings with the Quality Team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or relevant industry experience
- Ability to read, speak and write English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
- Willingness to learn multiple stations
- Beverage experience is helpful.
- Power Pallet Jack experience is helpful
- Experience working in excel, word, power point, google suite
- Must be an effective and creative problem solver, critical thinker, and have a strategic thought process
- Strong leadership ability, including team development and coaching
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
