Duties
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering speech therapy interventions tailored to individual client needs.
- Support children and students during therapy sessions, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Prepare therapy materials and document progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients across settings such as schools and hospitals.
- Help implement early intervention strategies to promote developmental milestones in young children.
- Maintain detailed records of therapy activities, client responses, and treatment outcomes following medical terminology and anatomy guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and plan future interventions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children or students in educational or healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to communication disorders.
- Strong understanding of pediatrics and early intervention practices.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children with special needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to client care.
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
