- Central Supply Clerk
Position overview:
- The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for receiving, labeling and proper storage of supplies in the various storerooms throughout the Complex.
- Responsibilities:
- Daily office duties such as answering telephones, filing, and faxing.
- Count all departmental storerooms in the complex and restock according to par levels.
- Fill requisitions and deliver supplies to various departments.
- Post and maintain inventory records according to disbursements and receipts on the computer system.
- Receive and verify supplies from delivery personnel.
- Reconcile purchase orders with packing slips from vendors.
- Label items chargeable to patients with bar code stickers.
- Verify that bar code stickers are on the correct supply.
- Stock and maintain shelves, cleaning, as necessary.
- Rotate stock on a continual basis throughout the storeroom. Verify out dates.
- Assist with cycle count inventories throughout the year.
- Assist with completion of all forms printing for the entire Complex.
- Share the additional responsibilities of the Inventory Analyst/Purchasing and/or the Courier in their absence.
- Participate in regular in-service training and other quality assurance activities.
- Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
- Requirements
- This employee must have a high school or GED diploma, a valid Illinois driver's license, a safe driving record and proof of insurance.
- Math or some computer experience is a plus.
- This individual must be a self-starter, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to proofread and check documents for accuracy daily.
- Must have the ability to communicate well with others and have a pleasing personality as diplomacy is required while working with vendors and other personnel.

- Work requires ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds daily.

- Work requires ability to stand, walk or kneel.
- Work requires ability to stoop and bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, have manual dexterity and color vision and ability to communicate with other people.
- Work requires ability to use a keyboard (typewriter, word processor or computer) to enter and transform information or data daily.
- Work requires the ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve and/or audit information and data daily.
- Work requires ability to push and/or pull laundry or supply carts, gurneys, or wheelchairs on a regular basis.
- Must have the ability to read and manipulate all equipment dials/controls.

The student loan forgiveness program encourages personal development through formal education so that employees can maintain and improve job-related skills or enhance their abilities.
- Individual courses or courses that are part of a degree, license, or certification program must be related to the employee's job duties. HMC administration has the sole discretion to determine the amount of student loan forgiveness and whether a course relates to the employee's current job duties.
- Employees regularly scheduled 30 hours or more per week, who have been employed in good standing for a minimum of 120 days, and who have had no performance improvement plans or disciplinary actions in the previous year, are eligible to apply for student loan forgiveness.
Salary : $30,200 - $38,300
