Position Overview
We are seeking a Housing Manager to live onsite and oversee daily operations at our sober living home. The Housing Manager ensures the safety, structure, and smooth functioning of the household while supporting residents in maintaining their sobriety. This is an excellent opportunity for a responsible individual in recovery or with experience in residential management who wants to live in a supportive community setting. Candidate will be tested weekly for any and all mood altering substances, Marijuana included.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and sober environment for all residents.
- Enforce house rules, policies, and curfews consistently and fairly.
- Conduct regular room inspections and monitor chore completion.
- Oversee resident check-ins, check-outs, and new intakes.
- Provide basic peer support, guidance, and accountability for residents.
- Serve as an onsite point of contact for emergencies and urgent issues.
- Report resident concerns, violations, or incidents to program leadership promptly.
- Coordinate with clinical/program staff (PHP/IOP/OP teams) regarding resident status as needed.
- Organize and track drug/alcohol screenings (when required).
- Help maintain an orderly home environment (light cleaning, supply management, etc.).
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sober living, recovery housing, or residential management preferred.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, accountability, and communication skills.
- Ability to enforce rules and set healthy boundaries with residents.
- Familiarity with recovery principles (12-Step, MAT support, or similar).
- Reliable, organized, and able to remain calm in crisis situations.
- Must maintain sobriety and drug-free lifestyle if in recovery.
