Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our accounting operations. This is a hands-on role for an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable working in the details while contributing to a well-controlled and scalable finance function.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting execution and will play a meaningful role in the month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and coordination across internal teams. This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently within established accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting & Close Support (65–70%)
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements with accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and adjustments in accordance with accounting policies
- Complete monthly bank, balance sheet, and selected P&L account reconciliations
- Support the monthly close process, including adherence to close timelines and resolution of reconciling items
- Assist with payroll review and related accounting entries
- Maintain fixed asset and inventory-related accounting schedules
- Follow and support internal control procedures and accounting policies
Reporting & Analytical Support (15–20%)
- Prepare supporting schedules for internal financial reporting
- Analyze account activity and assist with variance explanations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking with accurate data
- Build and maintain Excel-based reconciliations and analytical schedules
- Assist with basic KPI and dashboard reporting as needed
Systems, Process & Special Projects (10–15%)
- Support ongoing NetSuite system enhancements and optimization
- Assist with documentation of accounting workflows and procedures
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners as needed
- Identify opportunities for incremental process improvements
- Participate in cross-functional finance and operations initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 4–7 years of accounting experience with exposure to month-end close
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Practical experience with AP/AR, accruals, and financial statement support
- Advanced Excel proficiency (lookups, pivots, reconciliations)
- ERP experience required; NetSuite preferred
- Experience in a structured accounting environment is a plus
