Position Summary:
 
Provides exceptional customer service to all Lindner Center of Hope internal and external customers.  This position conducts an assessment for clinical appropriateness and financial feasibility for residential services at the Lindner Center of Hope (LCOH). This position will be the initial point of contact for the patients, families, and referrers seeking care at the diagnostic and short-term residential treatment programs. 
 
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities
 
  1. Provides exceptional customer services to all internal and external customers of the Lindner Center of Hope. Identifies issues of customer service and acts to resolve issues within available options. 
  2. In-depth knowledge of programs and services offered at LCOH.  Promotes programs enthusiastically, exhibiting the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality and relationship skills.
  3. Work with the residential program leadership to be the initial, primary point of contact for patients and families about the program, conducting an initial assessment of the patient and their clinical needs.  Determines if those needs can be met at LCOH.  Makes recommendations to the treatment team/physician about whether a patient should be admitted, and reviews cases with clinical team as needed.
  4. Talks with patients/families about the various programs available, helping them understand which program will best meet their needs.  Follows up with patients and families throughout their decision making process.  Coordinate program tours for patients, families, and referrers upon request.
  5. Present pricing information and payment expectations prior to admission.  Reviews payment alternatives with patients and families prior to admission to help them determine how they can pay for these private pay services.
  6. Works with external referrers to facilitate admissions and cultivate referrer relationships. Maintains collaborative relationship with external resources.
  7. Documents all calls in EPIC.  Gathers and enters patient demographic and insurance information in EPIC. Track all calls and inquiries in other tracking mechanisms.  Provide regular reports on activity.
  8. Participate in marketing and outreach activities as requested
  9. Ability to assess patients for risk of aggressive/escalating behavior, and ability to effectively manage escalating behavior.
  10. Recommends local travel accommodations. Arranges ground transportation for patients and families in the residential programs. 
  11. Greets new residential patients at admission.  Facilitates the welcome process and collects payment
  12. Demonstrates flexibility in adapting to new or changing requirements.
  13. Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement.
  14. Coordinating and developing the integrated summary within the CDA.
  15. May develop discharge and related clinical reports to assure integration of services and timely distribution of electronic CDAs
 
 
Position Qualifications:
 
  1. Masters of Social Work or Masters of Counseling preferred; Bachelors required with licensure in the State of Ohio.
  2. OR Registered Nurse with Ohio state license.
  3. CPR Certification
  4. At least 2 years of experience working with patients with psychiatric conditions.
  5. Strong assessment skills.
  6. Experience working with adult patients required. 
  7. Experience using an electronic medical record, preferably EPIC.
  8. Presents self in a professional manner and effectively relates to others for varying backgrounds.
  9. Ability to enthusiastically follow and model the Lindner Center of HOPE mission, vision and values.
 
Physical Requirements:
 
To effectively care for patients, candidates must be able to push, pull and lift up to 25 lbs on an occasional basis, and be able to stand or walk frequently during a work shift.  Must be able to see, talk, and hear coworkers, patients, and others.

Fingerprints will be submitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The reports from these agencies will include criminal record information.  Lindner Center of HOPE will follow the requirements for employment based on the State of Ohio Administrative Code 5122-30-31, and any other regulatory requirements regarding criminal background checks. Lindner Center of HOPE also reserves the right to obtain Consumer Reports and/or Investigative Consumer Reports as defined in the Federal Fair Credit Reporting ACT (FCRA).
