Position Summary:
The Distribution Manager oversees the daily food distribution operations to ensure quality products are consistently distributed to the community. The Distribution Manager plays a key role in optimizing workflows, improving efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of the Food Bank. This position coordinates with the Warehouse Manager on the logistics and quantity of food to be picked up daily to determine what gets distributed. The Distribution Manager supervises the volunteers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth distribution operations.

- Education/Training (or equivalent): 1H.S. Degree 0 College Degree* 1 Certification/License*
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)/Class A
Forklift certification
- Experience: (Type of work experience, min. number of years):
At least two years’ experience in warehousing, shipping and distribution activities.
- Technical or Administrative Knowledge:
Knowledge and expertise to operate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet Explorer.
Knowledge of Pinellas County maps and record keeping.
- Special Skills and Abilities and/or:
Ability to work in volunteer based program; work with public in a professional manner. Valid transportation.

Coordination of Food Distribution Operations
• Responsible for the overall daily distribution of food-to-Food Bank guests.
• Oversees quality control of government and donated commodities.
• Supervises warehouse staff and volunteers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure adequate food is available for emergency food distribution.
• Assists with coordinating mobile pantry distribution.
• Ensures employees and volunteers are well qualified and capable for assigned duties, with special care taken to ensure the qualifications and abilities of those operating machinery.
• Fills in as a Driver as needed.
Administrative
• Oversees for the collection and input of guest information in the software system.
• Ensures that each function of the food distribution operation has a standard operating procedure.
Additional Duties
• Coordinates supplies and equipment for Annual Letter Carriers’ Food Drive – Stamp Out Hunger.
• Makes deliveries, picks up donations, assists with mobile pantry operations, and operates truck in support of HVA events.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
