Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to support the mission of the church by maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for making Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing or conducting general cleaning and maintenance in building including restrooms, trash, floors, and windows
- Timely snow and ice removal as needed on sidewalks to ensure timely opening of pre-school
- General building maintenance including small repairs
- Create (with support) and follow an annual maintenance plan to systematically keep up with the building assets
- Outdoor maintenance including mowing grass, trimming trees and bushes
- Set up and general maintenance as needed by pre-school
- Monitor custodial supplies and notify office manager when supplies are needed
- Assist with maintenance of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and other systems as needed.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving
Qualifications
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
- Self-motivated worker who takes initiative when noticing issues in the building
- Willingness to learn and able to take direction
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds
- Previous experience in cleaning and building maintenance
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
