Location: Cedar City, Toquerville, UT
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional events/meetings as needed
Renewed Hope Ranch and Kiva Adventure Ranch are seeking a dedicated and organized Academic Principal to oversee academic programming, student records, educational compliance, and the day-to-day operations of the academic department across both residential treatment programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee academic programming and educational services for students.
- Supervise and support academic staff and teachers.
- Maintain accurate student records from admission through discharge and post-discharge follow-up.
- Oversee registration, scheduling, transcripts, credits, grades, and educational documentation.
- Ensure academic records and processes remain accurate, current, and compliant with applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with parents, schools, agencies, treatment teams, and other educational partners.
- Support student academic planning and progress.
- Ensure required educational documents are completed accurately and submitted when needed.
- Participate in admissions, discharge planning, parent weekends, and other program activities.
- Develop and maintain academic department procedures and documentation.
- Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to the academic department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Valid Utah Special Education teaching license or Special Education endorsement required.
- Previous experience in education, school administration, or academic leadership.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, clinicians, and residential staff.
- Knowledge of student records, transcripts, scheduling, and academic compliance.
- Experience working with adolescents or in a residential/treatment setting is a plus.
