Job Title: Licensed Therapist (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC)
Location: Baltimore City & Waldorf, Maryland
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time
Reports To: Clinical Director / Program Director
Position Summary
The Licensed Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality, client-centered mental health services, including individual, family, and group therapy, to children, adolescents, and adults. The Therapist conducts assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers evidence-based interventions to support recovery, resilience, and community integration.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations in accordance with COMAR regulations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
Provide psychotherapy (individual, group, family) using evidence-based modalities.
Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning.
Collaboration & Coordination
Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, PRP staff, SUD counselors, and external providers to ensure coordinated care.
Refer clients to community resources for housing, employment, or medical needs as appropriate.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case conferences.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete accurate, timely, and clinically relevant documentation in the electronic health record.
Maintain compliance with COMAR 10.63, CARF standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
Track progress toward treatment goals and update treatment plans as required.
Professional Development
Participate in supervision (if applicable), staff trainings, and professional development activities.
Maintain required continuing education credits and licensure in good standing.
Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Active Maryland license required: LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC.
Experience in outpatient therapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, or substance use treatment preferred.
Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
