Job Overview
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position involves providing compassionate care and support in various settings, including personal care homes, retirement homes, and community environments. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
MONDAY - SUNDAY EVERY OTHER WEEKEND PART TIME HOURS
7:AM -3:PM & 3:PM -11PM Shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in meal preparation and ensure they receive proper nutrition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Drive clients to appointments or community activities as needed.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Implement individualized support plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Document daily activities, progress, and any significant changes in client behavior or health.
Qualifications
- Experience in home care, social work, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and medication administration is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license is required for transportation duties.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
