Associate Program Director
The Associate Program Director is responsible for supporting, organizing, and overseeing the daily operations of the clinical department. This role reports directly to the Executive Program Director and plays a key part in ensuring high-quality client care, staff development, and program integrity.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Associate Program Director is expected to actively participate in all areas of programming, including running groups, supporting medication procedures (medication logging, assisting clients with medications, and coordinating with medical/nursing providers), facilitating intakes and discharges, and implementing the 12 Core Functions of Substance Use Counseling in accordance with CADC/CATC standards. In addition, the Associate Program Director will provide training and regular supervision for registered counselors and collaborate with the Leadership Team on hiring decisions, performance management, and corrective actions.
The ideal candidate will model professionalism, ethical conduct, trauma-informed care, and client-centered leadership. They will foster a culture of accountability, consistency, and therapeutic excellence across the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies and program plans that align with organizational standards and support high-quality clinical services and program growth.
- Ensure a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment that supports optimal client care.
- Participate in recruiting and onboarding to ensure the department is staffed with qualified, mission-aligned personnel.
- Assign caseloads and create staff schedules to ensure coverage, efficiency, and continuity of care.
- Supervise and support clinical and BHT staff, providing clear expectations, guidance, and constructive feedback.
- Provide clinical training, mentorship, and ongoing development opportunities for counselors and support staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when appropriate.
- Monitor compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements, ensuring adherence to quality-of-care standards.
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
