Hope of Detroit Academy Middle High School is seeking a passionate and student-centered High School English Language Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate believes all students can succeed, creates engaging learning experiences, and fosters a love of reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking.
This position works collaboratively with school leadership, colleagues, students, and families to support student achievement and advance the academy's educational mission.
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (preferred)
- English Language Arts endorsement (BA)
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field
- Experience teaching high school students
- Knowledge of literacy best practices and intervention strategies
- Experience working with diverse student populations
