We’re seeking a detail-oriented and mission-minded Manager of Grants and Contracts to oversee the coordination, tracking, and reporting of all grants and contracts that sustain HOPE’s impact in our community.
Position Overview
The Manager of Grants and Contracts will coordinate and manage all aspects of HOPE’s grants and contracts portfolio - from research and proposal writing to compliance and reporting. Working closely with the Development and Marketing Director, this role ensures that every funding opportunity aligns with HOPE’s mission and supports sustainable growth across programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the full grants and contracts calendar, ensuring all deadlines for submissions and reporting are met.
- Research new grant opportunities that align with HOPE’s mission and program goals.
- Write and/or coordinate compelling grant proposals and manage submission processes.
- Oversee and verify the accuracy of grant-related data, ensuring quality control and compliance with funder requirements.
- Collaborate with program teams to maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Coordinate SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) and Baton Rouge Office of Community Development (BROCD) invoicing and reporting.
- Manage agency access to SNAP Works, Vendor Invoice Portal (VIP), and BROCD systems.
- Participate in internal and external meetings to ensure smooth administration of grant and contract activities.
- Assist with the Annual LA Works Management Evaluation (ME) Review.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 3 years of experience working with grants administration, databases, or nonprofit organizations.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit operations and grant funding processes.
- Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and Adobe Acrobat.
- Demonstrated skill in data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to accuracy, protocol, and deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, grassroots, faith-based environment serving families facing poverty.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Full-time (40 hours/week), salaried, exempt position
