Job Summary
The Office Clerk/Scheduler supports daily office operations and plays a key role in scheduling nurses and therapists for patient visits. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in the home health industry.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate patient visits for nurses and therapists
- Communicate with clinical staff regarding schedules, changes, and availability
- Answer phone calls and assist patients, caregivers, and staff professionally
- Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, scanning, and record maintenance
- Maintain accurate schedules and patient information
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support office operations
- Learn and follow home health policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous office, clerical, or scheduling experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using computers, phones, and basic office software
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
