Minimum Education Level Required: Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, health administration, or related field.
Minimum Experience Level Required: Minimum three years of progressive professional experience handling datasets, grant or program reporting, or data entry/quality in healthcare, public health, social services, or a related role in a nonprofit or clinical setting. Advanced training and/or certifications in related technical tools, public health systems, programs or methodologies preferred.

- Demonstrated experience with public health program data management and reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data management principles, database structures, data governance, and data privacy/PHI standards.
- Strong knowledge of public health or health services concepts, including program outcomes, social determinants of health, and basic epidemiologic ideas.
- Knowledge of reporting expectations for grants and public agencies (state and federal reports, logic models, performance measures.)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and proficiency with databases or data systems (e.g. EHR, case management, and survey platforms) including the ability to run queries and exports.
- Previous experience in infectious disease and/or harm reduction prevention or education preferred. Must be able to obtain HIV 500/501 certification upon hire.
- Experience working with geographic information systems or locationbased data analysis highly preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and analytical skills.
- Data cleaning, validation, and basic analysis skills, including routine reports, tables, and simple visualization for nontechnical audiences.
- Familiarity with or knowledge of harm reduction data, including syringe services programs, overdose prevention efforts or similar initiatives highly preferred.
- Technical writing and documentation skills, including writing SOPs, data dictionaries, data collection guides, and clear instructions for program staff and partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and adapt messaging for the appropriate audience.
- Ability to function in a complex team environment, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and building relationships with clinicians, program staff and community partners to meet healthcare needs.
- Ability to work independently within minimal supervision and meet deadlines, managing competing demands efficiently and simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills for participating in project teams and completing activities and deadlines.
- Ability to apply a parity lens to data collection and reporting, recognizing bias, gaps and implications for underserved populations.
- Exercises critical thinking and attention to detail to guarantee data integrity and actionable insights.
