Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various rehabilitation practices, including inpatient care, and will be responsible for developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to meet the needs of our patients. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.
- Provide guidance and support to rehabilitation staff in delivering effective therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation of patient progress.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on best practices in rehabilitation techniques and patient care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
- Engage with patients and their families to educate them about treatment options and recovery processes.
Requirements
- A valid license to practice as a rehabilitation professional (e.g., Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist).
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to rehabilitation practices.
- Experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to create detailed care plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
- Experience with pediatrics is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
