Hiring: Domestic Violence Advocate
HOPE (Healing Opportunity Provided Equally)
Part-Time, Aitkin, $18-$20Hr
25-30 hours
Monday-Thursday flexible scheduling 7am-6pm
Responsibilities:
-Provide general & legal DV advocacy services
-Assist clients in crisis situations
-Safety planning
-Accompany clients to court and provide guidance
-Data entry and coding of all case contacts
-Provide outreach & community education
-Attend meetings and trainings as relevant and beneficial
-Participate in staff meetings
-Completion of 40 hr advocacy training (within 90 days)
-Other duties established by Executive Director
Qualifications:
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
-Must be able to maintain confidentiality and abide by ethical behavior.
-Must be self-motivated person able to work in a team atmosphere and also with minimal supervision.
-Sensitivity and knowledge of domestic violence.
-Basic computer skills desirable; Word, Excel, Access
-Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
