Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming and mobility support when necessary
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes as needed.
- Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. We provide all the training you need.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents during meal times, promoting independence and social engagement
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning duties.
- Document resident progress, care activities, and observations accurately in accordance with facility policies and care plans
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to foster emotional well-being and community involvement
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is wonderful but certainly not a requirement.
- First aid, CPR certification preferred but we will train you.
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities is advantageous but not a game changer.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Must be over 21 years of age. Must have reliable transportation with 4 wheels, must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance.
