What are the responsibilities and job description for the Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) position at Hope & Healing Counseling?
Build Your Caseload. Grow Your Skills. Create a Schedule That Works for You.
Hope & Healing Counseling is seeking Louisiana Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPCs) who want to build their clinical experience, develop a consistent caseload, and grow within an established group practice.
Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexibility to offer weekday, weekend, daytime, and evening appointments.
You determine the availability you are able to consistently maintain and the number of clients you are prepared to serve. We provide the referrals, office space, billing support, scheduling assistance, clinical systems, and administrative infrastructure to support your work.
A Schedule That Fits Your Life
We recognize that clinicians have different scheduling needs, especially while working toward full licensure.
Available appointment times include:
- Weekday mornings
- Weekday afternoons
- Weekday evenings
- Saturdays
- Sundays
Clinicians may establish either a full-time or part-time caseload based on their availability and professional goals.
You do not have to be available during every time block. Instead, you establish a consistent schedule that works for you and the clients you accept.
What We Provide
At Hope & Healing Counseling, we want clinicians spending their time developing their skills and providing quality care—not trying to manage every aspect of running a practice.
We provide:
- A steady stream of client referrals
- Percentage-based compensation
- Fully furnished professional office space
- Administrative support for incoming calls and appointment scheduling
- Insurance eligibility and benefits coordination
- Medical billing and claim submission
- Streamlined intake and discharge processes
- Electronic health record system
- Secure telehealth platform
- Established clinical documentation processes and templates
- Practice policies and workflows to support consistent care
- Opportunities for professional development
- Training workshops and continuing education opportunities
- Opportunities to develop specialty areas and expand clinical skills
You do not need to build your own referral network, furnish an office, answer practice phones, verify insurance benefits, or submit your own claims.
Develop as a Clinician While Building a Caseload
Working within a group practice provides PLPCs with opportunities to strengthen skills in:
- Clinical assessment
- Diagnosis
- Treatment planning
- Case conceptualization
- Evidence-based intervention
- Clinical documentation
- Coordination of care
- Professional communication
- Ethical decision-making
- Continuity of care
Depending on your training, competence, professional interests, and supervision requirements, you may have opportunities to work with:
- Adults
- Children and adolescents
- Families
- Couples when clinically appropriate
- Anxiety and depressive disorders
- Trauma-related disorders
- Grief and loss
- Adjustment and life transitions
- Relationship and interpersonal concerns
- Other presenting concerns appropriate to your scope of practice
We strive to match referrals with clinicians based on clinical appropriateness, experience, interests, and availability.
