Hope Harbor, Inc. is a non-profit crisis counseling center dedicated to empowering and supporting individuals impacted by sexual trauma. Serving residents in multiple counties across Kentucky, we provide specialized therapeutic services and advocate for survivors of sexual assault to promote social change and eliminate sexual violence. Our main office is in Bowling Green, with additional counseling services available in Glasgow and Franklin. Hope Harbor offers a 24/7 crisis support line, emergency advocacy in hospitals and law enforcement agencies, legal advocacy, community education, professional training, and comprehensive counseling services.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Clinical Therapist located in Bowling Green, KY. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing trauma-informed therapy to individuals impacted by sexual violence. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with other professionals, offering crisis intervention, and potentially participating in community outreach or educational programs to enhance awareness and prevention efforts.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed therapy techniques, individual counseling, and group facilitation
- Strong skills in client assessments and creating personalized treatment plans
- Experience in crisis intervention and effective de-escalation techniques
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential clinical documentation
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, with appropriate licensure
- Experience working with survivors of sexual violence or trauma is highly preferred
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and client-centered service delivery
