We're Hiring: MDFT Therapist (Juvenile Justice Services Program)

Amityville, NY | Full-Time | 35-hour workweek | Flexible/Hybrid Schedule

For over 50 years, Hope For Youth has provided life-changing services to children, youth, and families across Long Island. We are seeking a compassionate and committed Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) Therapist to join our Juvenile Justice Services Program-a family-focused, evidence-based intervention designed to transform lives and reduce recidivism. About the Program:

The Juvenile Justice Services Program supports up to 40 youth annually-referred by the Nassau County Probation Department-including PINS, JD-RTA, and Adolescent Offenders. Using the SAMHSA-approved MDFT model, we provide clinical treatment to address substance abuse, behavioral challenges, and family dynamics.


Responsibilities:

As an MDFT Therapist, you will carry a caseload of up to 10 clients and be responsible for:

  • Developing clinical treatment plans based on assessments and intakes.

  • Providing individual and family therapy using the MDFT model.

  • Delivering trauma-informed care in homes, the community, and office settings.

  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews.

  • Attending required training and professional development in MDFT and other evidence-based models.

  • Completing case documentation and electronic medical records accurately and timely.

  • Performing other duties to meet client, agency, and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

  • LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT (Required)

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children/adolescents

  • Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle

  • Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office

  • Physical Requirements: read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements

When determining an employee's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, licensing, certifications, other credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity, etc.)

Salary : $65,000
