Hope Family Partners is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to help us maintain safe, attractive, and functional environments for the people we support. What You’ll Do:
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on Hope Family Partners residential and commercial buildings.
- Handle tasks ranging from carpentry, painting, and flooring to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain exterior curb appeal with landscaping and grounds work.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment like mowers, ladders, and staging.
- Diagnose issues, complete repairs, and coordinate with Operations Director for specialized work.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5 years in building construction or facilities maintenance (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Skills: Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
- License: Valid Maine driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to tow a utility trailer and operate a plow.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable working in all weather conditions, at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Experience Required
- Will possess sufficient physical ability to do manual labor and operate motorized vehicles and equipment for extended periods of time and in extremes of heat and cold. Will be able to climb and descend ladders and staging and work safely from them. Able to lift and carry heavy objects (minimum of 50 lbs.) over distances. Must be able to bend, twist, reach, squat, push and pull objects.
- Valid Maine Driver's License and good driving record. Must also be comfortable operating a vehicle in inclement weather.
- 5 year(s): Experience and education in building construction or facilities maintenance
Preferred
- Familiarity with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, flooring, drywall repair and painting, window and door installation and general building maintenance operations.
Education Required
- High School Diploma or better
- General Educational Development or better
