What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant position at Hope Family Medicine?
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
Qualifications:
- Valid nurse practitioner or Physicians Assistant license in the state of Oklahoma
- Master's degree in nursing with a specialization as a family nurse practitioner
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and electronic health records systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients and their families
- Knowledge of medical terminology
