Schedule: Full-time (Monday–Thursday 8 AM – 5 PM, Friday 8 AM – 3 PM)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our healthcare team. This role is ideal for a compassionate and skilled provider who is passionate about community-based mental health care. The PMHNP will deliver comprehensive psychiatric and mental health care to patients of all ages, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive mental health assessments, including psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, focusing on the management of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions, both acute and chronic, across the lifespan.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and your governing board.
- Provide psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and behavioral health counseling to patients and families.
- Educate patients and families on mental health wellness, coping strategies, and mental health prevention.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including Primary Care Providers, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, and Ancillary Staff as needed.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and advancements in psychiatric mental health care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or eligible to sit for certification exam.
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
- Valid Texas nursing license with prescriptive authority.
- Outpatient mental health care experience preferred but not required; New Grads Welcome.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for community mental health and serving diverse patient populations.
