PLC Technician – Industrial Maintenance & Electrical
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Oklahoma (primarily local travel; ~10% overnight for larger projects)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled PLC Technician with a strong industrial maintenance or electrical background. This position involves troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining industrial control systems in a variety of environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled systems and industrial automation equipment.
- Use a volt meter to diagnose electrical issues and verify proper operation of circuits and components.
- Work with analog signals, including 4–20mA and 0–10V instrumentation.
- Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Install, modify, and troubleshoot industrial control panels and related equipment.
- Perform field service work, including mild statewide travel and approximately 10% overnight stays during larger projects.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members while completing jobs safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
Required:
- Industrial maintenance or electrical background
- Proficiency using a digital volt meter
- Understanding of analog signals (4–20mA, 0–10V, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and control drawings
- Hands-on experience with industrial control panels
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Oklahoma
Preferred (not required):
- Experience with PLC programming or troubleshooting
- Familiarity with automation systems, VFDs, or SCADA
- Electrical license or technical certification
Working Conditions
