Online Mental Health Counseling Resident (LPC or LMFT) in Virginia

Resident in Counseling (1099 Contractor) – Fully Online Position, Set your own hours

We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Resident in Counseling to join Hope and Harmony. This is a fully remote position providing high-quality therapy services to adolescents and adults throughout Virginia.

This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates of a Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy program who are working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct individual therapy sessions with adolescents and adults

- Perform clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes

- Manage client scheduling and maintain an organized appointment calendar

- Attend weekly group supervision meetings

- Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards

- Optional: Facilitate or co-lead online therapeutic groups

Requirements

- Must be a current Resident in Counseling (or eligible for residency) in the state of Virginia

- Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field

- Strong clinical writing skills and attention to detail

- Comfortable working independently in a fully virtual setting

- Reliable internet connection and a professional, and confidential workspace
