Job Description:
We are seeking an employment attorney in or around the Boston area with 2 years of experience practicing employment law in Massachusetts who is looking for a long-term role that can provide flexibility if necessary. If you’re tired of litigation and billable hours, you want to focus primarily on providing advice and counseling, nd you have an interest in human resources and the hospitality industry, this job is for you. While the role is mostly remote, the ideal candidate will have the ability to also attend in-person team and client meetings in Boston and the surrounding areas. We are open to a full-time or part time arrangement, as well as flexible hours.
Duties of position will include but not be limited to the following:
- Provide advice, counsel, and support to restaurant clients on employee relations and workplace matters that arise
- Draft/revise Employee Handbooks and other employment documents
- Draft disciplinary warnings
- Advise clients on risks related to proposed terminations and other employment actions
- Investigate employee complaints of harassment
- Advise on employee accommodations and leaves
- Research legal/compliance issues that arise
- Provide advice and hands-on assistance to clients with wage and hour compliance
- Provide management trainings on topics such as harassment prevention, performance management, and HR best practices
- Provide in-person assistance and leadership with difficult or complex employee meetings

The ideal candidate is a driven, motivated self-starter who is skilled at client relations/communication and project management, and is highly organized, efficient, detail-oriented, responsive, and acts with a sense of urgency.
