Tank Technician
The Tech Technician will work in cooperation with other operators as assigned to service tanks. This position will be helping to remove old decals and prep tanks to be repainted. Our ideal candidate will be dependable and have a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to paint, scrape and apply decals to tanks.
- Conduct QA testing on tanks.
- Perform routine housekeeping in the work area, i.e. sweeping and basic clean up.
- Handle parts, materials, equipment, and tools used in the assembly process or to be shipped.
- Maintain inventory in work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate ability to work both alone and in groups.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Forklift experience a plus but not required.
- Able to clearly communicate with all other operators throughout the floor.
- 2-3 years of successful continuous employment in an industrial setting where employee would have learned to be productive.
Physical Demands:
- Strenuous physical effort which requires standing on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to wear respirator mask for 40% to 60% of shift.
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Good visual acuity.
Work Environment:
- Work is in an unairconditioned warehouse.
- Will be working in different weather conditions.
- Will be working with and around hazardous chemicals.
- Subject to loud noises.
Monday - Friday 6:00am to 4:00pm
