What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Technician III position at Hoover Energy Services?
Hoover Energy Services has openings for Automation Technician III to help expand our efforts in the fast paced, and growing oil and gas market in the Permian Basin of West Texas and New Mexico.
Ideal Automation Technician III would have experience in the following:
o Completed Tech I, Tech II
o Advanced Calibrations and Loop Checks
o Full understanding of Fail Safe and applications
o Equipment Commissioning and troubleshooting
o Able to wire a Pump Panel Start -> Finish
o Able to wire a PLC Panel Start -> Finish
o Understanding of setting up (Mags Coriolis)
o Full Understanding of wiring AIs, AOs, DIs and DOs
o Read And Modify PLC TotalFlow Logic w/understanding the change
o Basic HMI Setup
o Setting Up VFDs while understanding the settings
o Entry Level DSP Setup (Redlion)
o Setup Full E&H Line Up
o Liquid Meter Skid Setup Control and Comms
o Cell Comms and Modem Configuration Start To Finish
o Attended Idec Training – Basic
o Validate System Operations
o Ability to work in a team environment or alone with minimal supervision.
o Be able to communicate verbally and in writing to other team members, as well as customers.
o Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
o Be able to pass a physical and drug screen including random drug screening.
Experience:
3 Years of experience as an Automation Tech
