The Senior Account Manager is a key member of the Strategic Accounts sales team and manages a roster of customers that is specific to a geographical region. This role reports to the Vice President of Strategic Accounts and is responsible for achieving sales and profitability objectives through a consultative sales approach, promoting the company’s IBC, Service, and Technology product portfolio. The Senior Account Manager will be a consummate team-player who collaborates closely with Hoover CS team members and drives a consistent focus on Customer Success.

- Generate and develop new sales opportunities
- Establish and manage meaningful relationships with new and existing client base so that a deep understanding of the customer’s business is attained
- Responsible for educating and moving customers from the use of one-way, plastic IBC's to reusable IBC's
- Enhance sustainability and help customers with their SDG goals
- Develop a thorough understanding of products and services
- Participate in relevant Trade Shows or other Marketing Events
- Promote the Hoover CS brand and image
- Identify customer’s relationship with direct competitors and their strengths and weaknesses
- Learn customer’s target market, their primary competitors and most valuable customers
- Identify the concerns and challenges the customer experiences related to chemical containers, services, technology and logistics
- Utilize product, technical, operational and leadership resources as required, to develop and furnish the most valuable solution to the customer
- Conduct timely and appropriate follow-up for all customer inquiries and submitted proposals
- Close sales and achieve quarterly sales and profitability targets
- Consistently enter and update opportunities throughout the sales process in the CRM
- Be proactive in the generation, analysis and communication of all relevant marketplace intelligence to colleagues on Strategic Accounts team
- Provide management with regular reports as required
- Overnight travel estimated at 20-30% within region
- Strong passion for sustainability
- Previous chemical industry experience, preferably in the distribution space
- Superior interpersonal skills, written, verbal and listening are a must
- Manage a roster of accounts, within a given geographical region, while focusing 25% of time to new business development activities
- Excellent sales skills with a proven track record of profitable business attainment and problem-solving
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter
- Experience utilizing a CRM
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account strategies
- Strong customer service ethic, ability to build rapport with internal and external customers
- Must be a consummate team player, with strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Ability to maintain a high level of initiative and enthusiasm while ensuring a professional and courteous demeanor
- Bachelors-Degree or comparable work experience
- 6 years sales experience
Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
