Responsibilities
- Coordinate food preparation and presentation by communicating orders clearly between kitchen staff and servers
- Expedite food orders to ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards
- Assist with food handling, plating, and garnishing to meet restaurant specifications
- Support the kitchen team with food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Buss tables and assist with general cleaning duties to uphold cleanliness standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order modifications or special requests
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously using POS systems and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation, expediting, and food handling techniques
- Strong communication skills to liaise seamlessly between kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Experience with POS systems and basic numeracy for order management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and banquet service experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience, including serving or hotel experience, will be advantageous
