Activities Assistant

At Richland Bean-Blossom Health Care Center, we specialize in rehabilitation services to improve the speed and scope of recovery following injury and do so in a private and dignified manner. 

Schedule: Monday and Wednesday (9am-4 pm) or Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (9am-2pm)

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing and implementing engaging activity programs that align with residents' needs, interests, and abilities. Collaborates with management and interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident well-being while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning, organizing, and leading daily activities and programs for residents.
• Support a variety of recreational, social, educational, spiritual, physical, and therapeutic activities based on residents’ interests and abilities.
• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual preferences, abilities, and comfort levels.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group activities for residents who may not participate in larger programs.
• Assist residents with transportation to and from activities and provide support as needed during programs.
• Help prepare activity rooms, supplies, equipment, and materials before and after scheduled programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and financial documents.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand, bend, walk, and perform physical tasks in a healthcare setting.

Education and/or Experience: 

Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Meets state and federal requirements.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Driver’s license per position requirements.
