Are you an experienced Ophthalmic Scribe who thrives in a fast-paced, premium surgical environment? We are a high-volume, cutting-edge refractive and cataract surgery practice seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately chart patient histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system as dictated by the physician.
- Correctly apply ophthalmology-specific coding.
- Assist in maintaining an efficient schedule, preparing exam rooms, and reviewing charts prior to the physician’s entry to ensure all necessary measurements are ready.
- Document specific physician recommendations regarding treatment or surgery.
- Support the flow of the clinic and anticipate the provider’s needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of dedicated experience as an Ophthalmic Scribe or Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician with heavy scribing duties.
- Strong familiarity and comfort with ophthalmology coding standards.
- Understanding of ocular anatomy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A team player with a passion for patient care.
- Willingness and eagerness to learn.
Preferred:
- Comfortable with EMR systems and ophthalmic equipment.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Certified with JCAHPO as OSC, COA, COT, or COMT.
