The Position:
We are looking for a dependable individual with great attention to detail to join our shipping team as a Packer in our Martinsville, VA location.
This individual will:
- Confirms package contents against production ticket
- Basic housekeeping duties
- Unloads trailers with supplies
- Loads trailers with packaged furniture
- Put together packaging supplies
- Retrieve packaging supplies from store rooms
- Use proper PPE – safety glasses.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices to prevent slips, trips and falls.
- Push furniture to workstation, lift furniture onto conveyor, apply carton and needle punch, apply shrink bag, heat shrink bag to furniture, lower furniture to ground, and push furniture to staging area.
- Manually load truck with furniture.
Candidates that will be a great fit will:
- Be able to stand and walk for 100% of shift
- Must be able to bend, lift, twist, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks using heat guns and tape guns
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds of weight from floor level to waist height tabletop up to 50 times per shift using team lift.
- Must be able to lower up to 100 pounds of weight at waist height tabletop to floor level up to 50 times per shift always using team lift.

Shift: Mon-Thu 6:30am-4:00pm and Fri 6:30am-10:30am
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour. Pay depends upon experience, skill, and qualifications.
