The Position:
We are looking for a dependable candidate who enjoys working independently to join our production team. This individual will use hand tools to complete furniture frames.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
- Attach swivel bases to completed chair frames
- Trim extra threads off completed chair frames.
- Cycle counting.
- Making boxes and placing completed chair frames into boxes.
- Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and templates to determine the correct components and assembly sequence.
- Operate pneumatic staplers, drills, and other hand tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools are in working condition.
- Meet daily production and quality goals with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with other team members, including upholstery departments, inspection, and shipping, to ensure smooth workflow and production efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training as required
Candidates that will be a great fit will:
- Previous experience in furniture frame assembly or woodworking preferred.
- Ability to read and understand production drawings or blueprints.
- Skilled in the use of hand and pneumatic tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise and moving furniture.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
