Duties
- Clear and reset tables swiftly after guests leave, ensuring they are spotless and inviting for incoming diners
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages when needed, supporting smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing tables and chairs regularly
- Support food preparation tasks such as basic garnishing or assembling simple dishes when required
- Handle bussing duties efficiently during busy periods to keep the dining environment organized and comfortable
- Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup to uphold food safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members about table status and guest needs to ensure excellent guest relations
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess roles or catering experience
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to perform basic math for order accuracy and cash handling when necessary
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest interaction abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude
- Basic cooking or meal preparation skills are beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
