As a Boiler Operator at Hood Plywood, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating our wood fired boiler. This includes observing and adjusting controls to ensure optimal fuel feed, draft openings, water level, and steam pressure.
You will also be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues, testing and treating boiler feed water, and maintaining accurate records of meter readings and gauge data. In addition, you will operate equipment such as loaders for wood waste storage or boiler feeding.
