We are looking for an experienced (5 years) MEP Estimator, with experience in estimating from blueprints but also estimating from visiting job sites to come up with job costs to put together proposals. We primarily work on Multi Family projects (condo, townhome and apartment buildings) performing Interior and exterior capital projects.

Job Description
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for MEP construction projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction estimating software, such as HeavyBid or Bluebeam, to create comprehensive estimates
- Evaluate and compare subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project scope and potential challenges
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Prepare and present estimates to clients or management for review and approval
- Participate in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, Bluebeam)
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
