What You'll Do
- Operate trimmer equipment, conveyors, and related machinery to safely and efficiently process lumber.
- Inspect lumber and make trimming decisions based on quality and production standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or production issues.
- Assist with routine equipment maintenance.
- Clean equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
- Handle and move lumber safely throughout the production process.
- Work with team members to meet production and quality goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Manufacturing or sawmill experience is preferred but not required.
This position is performed in a fast-paced lumber manufacturing environment and requires the ability to:
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work around moving equipment, wood dust, and elevated noise levels.
- Work at varied indoor and outdoor temperatures.
