Forklift Operator

Location: Hood Container – Louisville South

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00hour (based on experience), plus shift differential

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:30 p.m. – 2:00a.m.)

Hood Container is looking for skilled Forklift Operator to join our high-performing team in Louisville, Kentucky. If you’re safety-driven, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this is your chance to grow with a national leader in sustainable packaging.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure inventory accuracy by verifying materials entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Keep the warehouse and dock area clean, organized, and safe.
• Work closely with Shipping & Receiving on incoming and outgoing materials.
• Partner with Production Planning to ensure materials are available for upcoming orders.
• Pull and prepare jobs for the next shift’s production run.
• Quickly fulfill material replenishment requests to avoid production delays.
• Handle and load scrap materials efficiently.
• Operate and maintain a forklift safely to prevent damage to products, equipment, and personnel.
• Inspect propane cylinders to ensure they are stored properly and filled as required.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience: At least 2 years of warehousing and inventory control experience.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Skills: Basic computer proficiency, strong math skills, and attention to detail.
• Safety Focus: Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
