As a Clamp Truck Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our corrugator operations—ensuring the safe handling of roll stock, supporting production flow, and maintaining an organized and efficient roll room. Your work directly impacts safety, quality, and productivity across the plant.
How You Will Contribute
Material Handling & Production Support
- Deliver paper rolls to the corrugator, prioritizing butt rolls and ensuring proper documentation
- Read and interpret corrugator lineups to support production needs
- Ensure correct size and paper grade rolls are supplied to the wet end
- Assist Corrugator Operators and support cross-training efforts as needed
- Safely operate the clamp truck to load, unload, and transport roll stock
- Complete daily lift inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Unload rolls from trailers and railcars, inspecting for and documenting any damage
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including GMP standards
- Maintain accurate roll stock records and submit tallies to leadership
- Mark and return butt rolls with proper specifications (size, diameter, footage, grade)
- Keep the roll room clean, organized, and audit-ready
- Maximize equipment utilization and operate at optimal efficiency
- Follow daily production schedules to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
- Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain strong housekeeping standards
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months of experience in a corrugator wet end environment preferred
- Previous experience operating industrial power trucks or heavy equipment
- Ability to read production specifications (size, grade, layout)
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (Outlook, touchscreens, printers)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and a fast-paced production environment
- Conditions may include heat, humidity, cold, noise, dust, and vibration
